Bromelain as a natural antihistamine

Bromelain as a natural antihistamine

To help with aches and pains, arthritis or joint mobility problems you need more than just CBD – you should also leverage bromelain’s powerful antihistamine properties.

Bromelain has been called “Nature’s Benadryl” due to its powerful anti-histamine properties. Benadryl is a well-known over the counter antihistamine and has been used to treat everything from sinusitis to skin allergies. Antihistamines relieve allergies by reducing the action of inflammatory messenger molecules (called histamines) from the cells of the immune system. Anti-histamines may reduce the release of histamines or block the cell receptors that bind histamine to cause the swelling, discomfort or immobility associated with allergic reactions.

Bromelain – from pineapple, it digests histamine

Natural antihistamines like bromelain do this heavy lifting, without the side effects of over-the-counter medicines like Benadryl – like drowsiness, dizziness, and in severe cases vomiting, seizures, and even death. The University of Maryland Medical Center describes bromelain as a mixture of enzymes found in the stem and juice of pineapples that digest proteins, and has been approved by the German Commission for the treatment of inflammation. Other studies have shown that bromelain reduces the mucus production and cough associated with sinusitis and the swelling and inflammation of the respiratory tract associated with hay fever. The enzymes in bromelain may also digest histamine, reducing histamine levels caused by the allergic response.

So rather than turn to pharmaceuticals when your inflammatory system malfunctions, support a healthy inflammatory system function with bromelain – and restore your basic nature!
